How to Pack Yard Tools for Moving?

1. To begin with, check all the garden tools you have and do a round of elimination where you decide not to carry some of the tools which you won’t require. This will make it easier for you to pack and move the tools. 

2. The next thing you must do is clean the tools. It is important, as you’ll be packing them in protective sheets later. If there is dry mud on the tools, use a scraper to remove it. Follow it up by cleaning it with a sponge and water.

3. After the tools have dried up, group them as per their size. This will ease out the packaging process, and you’ll find them easier to carry as well.

4. You must wrap all the sharp metal parts of every garden tool with multiple bubble wraps. This will prevent any mishappenings. You can then use pieces of tape to keep the bubble wrap fixed to the tools.

5. After you ensure that the sharp edges and blades of the tools are securely covered, pack the items. 

6. Position all the long handled tools together and wrap them using a moving blanket to create a tight bundle.

7. For the last step of how to pack garden tools for moving, take the short-handled tools, bundle and wrap them in a furniture blanket. With the packing tape wrapped on the bundle, ensure the blankets don’t unwrap while moving.
